ESC Congress 2018 of the European Society of Cardiology
This congress touches your heart. The ESC Congress is one of the largest medical congresses in the world, attracting 32,800 cardiologists from 150 countries to the global metropolis with a heart and to Locations of Messe München. Besides the ICM, the ESC used another six directly connected halls on the exhibition and convention site. Besides the good connection between the ICM and the pillar-free exhibition halls, which staged the exhibition, poster area and facilities, the green haven of the Atrium was a highlight, enabling congress participants to chill out. The clear layout made it easy for congress participants to find their way around the site.
DGGG – Fachkongress der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe (Congress of Professional Association for Gynaecology and Obstetrics)
The ICM has already hosted this congress a number of times. In 2020, the DGGG was the first professional association to hold a hybrid congress. To ensure the highest possible safety standard and to meet the strict hygiene requirements, the DGGG used not only the entire ICM, but also the West Entrance for controlled access and Hall B1 for its exhibition areas and catering. Since the capacities in the halls of the ICM were not sufficient during the coronavirus restrictions, for the first time the event also used streaming in 'overflow areas' in the foyer of the ICM. In parallel, so as to provide appropriate access for the many online participants, sessions were streamed live from the halls, to which people could connect at will. In addition, approximately 280 speakers who were unable to attend or subject to travel restrictions were connected live. Another highlight was the transmission of live surgery from three German hospitals. A total of 5,200 participants took part in the congress, with 1,700 attendees on site and 3,500 online.
We can also handle smaller conventions with approximately 1,500 participants at the MOC, which is an ideal congress location. This location offers exhibition halls, plenary halls, numerous workshops and break-out rooms.
The ICM – International Congress Center Messe München has sufficient spaces and direct connection to the halls of the convention and exhibition center. You can have space for industry exhibitions or poster exhibitions.
