Commitment abroad: Messe München international

Global network

Engagement im Ausland

Messe München is one of the leading trade fairs worldwide—in Munich and around the world—for innovation platforms that offer solutions to the pressing issues in the world. As a global networking platform it brings together decision-makers from across the globe. Messe München’s exhibition portfolio comprises around 70 own leading trade fairs for capital and consumer goods as well as new technologies that focus on current social issues.

Alongside its domestic market in Munich, Messe München is also very successful abroad, and is active with its subsidiaries in China, India, Brazil and Turkey. Overall, with its network of associated companies and offices worldwide, Messe München is present in more than 130 countries and so represented in all of the world’s key growth markets.

Successful dual strategy

Messe München has been successfully expanding its exhibition portfolio of strong leading trade fairs for years. We also offer our event and industry expertise worldwide. Exhibitors can use our platforms to enter distant markets. From Messe München they then receive support for business success in a foreign environment. They receive the security of our quality standards and have the industry leaders all together in one place.

Current trade fair year

bauma CONEXPO INDIA brought together both the global market leaders and India’s construction machinery industry at the start of February in Delhi. MMI Asia will host analytica Vietnam and ASEAN Ceramics (Vietnam) itself for the first time. In 2023, transport logistic Southeast Asia will likewise be held for the first time in Singapore. Messe München will now also resume its program in South Africa for the first time since the pandemic began, with air Cargo Africa, IFAT Africa and analytica Lab Africa.

Back to business in China

ISPO Beijing

ISPO Beijing in February 2020 was the first trade fair worldwide that had to be canceled due to coronavirus. 2023 is therefore a happy occasion: The ISPO Beijing team was celebrating its comeback on February 10 after a four-year break! It was also a great day for Messe München’s trade fair business in China. That’s because it’s the very first trade fair that’s been allowed to take place in Beijing after coronavirus, and was “invited” by the authorities to open the trade fair season as the first event after the pandemic—so a powerful and positive message for Messe München and trade fairs as a whole! ISPO Beijing is one of the leading sports business platforms in the Asia-Pacific region. The current trend topics, particularly after coronavirus are: camping lifestyle (urban escape), urban sports, sustainability & sports technology.

ISPO Beijing is the long-awaited prelude to further trade fair highlights in China.

Trade fair spring in China

Trade fair spring in China

Promising comeback after the pandemic: the production and technology sector experienced a trade fair spring in China with excellent visitor numbers. The own events productronica China 2023, IE expo China 2023 and the cooperations Auto Shanghai 2023 and CIMT were a perfect start to the second quarter in April. With 820 exhibitors, productronica China in Shanghai was bigger than ever before. And environmental technology is also booming in China, because less pollution and CO2 neutrality are important government goals. This was reflected in the record participation at IE expo China. For the first time, all 17 halls of the Shanghai New International Expo Centre were occupied. Good prerequisites for a successful trade fair year 2023 with further events such as analytica China, electronica China and LASER World of PHOTONICS CHINA in July.
